Template notice
These are demonstration storage terms for the STOWSTEAD template. They are not legal advice and must be replaced or reviewed by the operator’s qualified adviser before a real facility accepts reservations.
Rental and payment
The storage agreement identifies the customer, facility, unit, start date, rental charge, payment schedule and notice requirements. Charges may vary by location, size, availability and services. Any deposit, administration fee, promotion or late-payment process should be stated clearly before the agreement begins.
Access and security
Customers may access their unit during the published access hours using their authorised method of entry. Access credentials must not be shared carelessly. Each customer is responsible for securing the unit with an approved lock and for closing doors and gates properly. CCTV, access control and other measures reduce risk but do not replace suitable packing, inventory records or contents protection.
Acceptable use
The unit may be used only for lawful storage. It must not be used as a home, office, workshop, public shop or place of business activity. Customers must not store illegal goods, live animals or plants, perishable food, waste, firearms, explosives, flammable materials, hazardous chemicals or anything that leaks, smells, attracts pests or creates risk. The facility may ask for clarification about unusual items.
Customer responsibilities
Items must be clean, dry, safely packed and positioned without overloading shelves or blocking shared areas. The customer should maintain an accurate inventory and arrange contents protection for the full replacement value of stored property. Contact and payment information must be kept current.
Changes, notice and move-out
Unit changes depend on availability and may change the rental charge. The agreement should explain the notice required to end rental, the condition in which the unit must be left and the procedure for removing the lock. Property must be collected by the agreed end date.
Liability and complaints
The live agreement should state the operator’s responsibilities, exclusions and liability limits in terms permitted by applicable law. Complaints should first be raised with the centre team so the facts can be reviewed promptly. The operator’s registered company information, governing law and formal contact details must be inserted before publication.
